Ingredients:

1/4 cup whole milk

1 cup all purpose flour

1 egg

2 tsp seasoned salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Individual Cube Steak that has been tenderized

Oil for frying

For the gravy:

1/3 cup all purpose flour

4 cup whole milk

1/2 tsp seasoned salt

1 tsp. black pepper

Instructions:

1. Beat the milk with the egg in a bowl, then add the flour mixed with the seasoned salt and pepper into another bowl. Have a clean plate to put the breaded steak on when you are finished. Dip the steak into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture. Once finished, put the breaded steak onto the clean plate. While you are doing this step, be sure to add some oil to your frying pan and turn the heat on so the oil will be hot when you are ready to add the steak to it.

2. Cook the meat until the edges start to look golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Remove the meat to a paper towel lined plate.

3. After the meat is finished, drain some of the oil, but leave some in the skillet for making your gravy. Add your flour to the skillet and stir until it creates a golden-brown paste. Pour in 3-4 cups of milk, whisking constantly. Add the seasoned salt and pepper and cook until the gravy is smooth and thick; about 5-10 minutes. Be ready to add more milk or flour as you cook.

This turned out delicious for our family! I served this along with mashed potatoes and green beans. A perfect winter comfort meal.
